Biography

Doc. MUDr. Mária Hulíková, PhD is an Associate Professor and specialist in Haematology and Transfusiology with over 40 years of clinical and research experience at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia. Her expertise covers coagulation disorders, haemorrhagic conditions, and thromboembolic disease. She is the founder of Centres for Haemostasis and Thrombosis Slovakia — and serves as Vice-President of the Slovak Society for Haemostasis and Thrombosis and board member of the European Thrombosis Research Organisation (ETRO). She has authored over 300 publications and received multiple awards from Slovak, Czech, and European haematological societies.

• Platelet function and aggregation
• Hormonal contraception and thrombotic risk
• Bleeding disorders and recombinant factor VIIa therapy
