Biography

Dr Bethany Hayes is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, UK. She graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2023 with an MBChB in Medicine and Surgery. She completed foundation training at James Cook University Hospital gaining clinical experience across Acute Medicine, Oncology, Urology, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and General Practice. She has previously presented work at the Marie Curie Research Conference 2024, with an abstract published in BMJ Supportive & Palliative Care on the use of alfentanil in hospital palliative care patients.

Research Interests: Dr Hayes’ interests include women’s health, menopause care and palliative care. She has a particular interest in improving patient-centered care, holistic approaches to clinical practice and understanding patient experiences to guide improvements in care.
